Mother Austin is the wife of Administrative Assistant Dr. Melvin L. Austin, Pastor of New Bethel Cathedral Church of God in Christ, Hampton, Virginia. Mother Austin serves as a Church Administrator of New Bethel Cathedral, as Women's Ministry Coordinator of New Bethel Cathedral, and in every venue of the ministry. Pastor and First Lady Austin have been blessed with two daughters, a son-in-law, a grandson, and a granddaughter. Mother Claudine T. Austin is a native of Portsmouth, VA.

Also, she presently serves under the leadership of Bishop L. E. Willis, II, Prelate of the Virginia Third Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction, Church of God in Christ - New Frontier, The Next Generation as State Supervisor of Women.

Mother Austin was installed as State Supervisor of the Third Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of the State of Virginia during the 102nd Holy Convocation of the Church of God in Christ, Inc. Since her appointment as State Supervisor, Mother Austin has served her Bishop and the Jurisdiction well. She represents the Virginia Third on the National Level, serving willingly and broadening the borders of opportunity for the Women's Department. Mother Austin is dedicated to encouraging the saints. She reaches out and serves every age group from the cradle to the most senior. She-particularly encourages the young men and women to serve the Lord, as her goal is to help prepare the next generation to know, love and serve the Lord.

Mother Claudine T. Austin received her BA Degree in Elementary Education from Norfolk State University. She received her MA Degree in Childhood Education from Old Dominion University, Norfolk, VA. Mother Austin transitioned to retirement in July 2011, after serving as an elementary school teacher for 37 years in the Norfolk, VA Public Schools Education System.

Mother Austin serves the Lord with gladness. She is an excellent example and leader to the people of God, and inspires them on to higher heights in the Lord. She gives all the glory to God.

Mother Austin has been honored as a "Woman of Excellence," which is a high honor, exclusively for the women of the International Church of God in Christ.

Mother Austin says her life theme, "Just Be Faithful," sums up the continued blessings of God in her life. To the young and old she sends this message that you might receive all God has to give to you.
